Martial Arts Training is great for children! It's good, clean fun for kids...not to mention a great way to give them a head start on life. At AKKA, they will receive the positive benefits of self-discipline, confidence, coordination, and strength. Through a structure of respect, children develop the ability to listen, learn and achieve within a highly regulated environment. It's an excellent reinforcement of study techniques for school.

Great for adults! Karate feels good! Many of our adult students who have tried other forms of exercise like running or lifting weights say that nothing makes them feel as good as the Martial Arts. The exercise and mental training offers great stress relief and gives them the confidence they need to resolve conflict.

Tiny Tigers Classes for children 4-6 are taught by highly qualified instructors. Classes are fun, fast-paced and focus on karate basics, fine and gross motor skills and character-building activities.

Junior programs for older children feature a full range of karate-building skills, including the opportunity to participate in carefully supervised sparring activities.

Adults of all ages will find that Kenpo Karate is the ultimate TOTAL mind-body workout! Try it for a month - it's better than any aerobics class!

AKKA Westport is proud to join the Kansas City Chiefs in offering the latest in sports fitness and reflex development:

Makoto Sports Fitness Arena!

Our students Gain a Competitive Edge in athletics, recovery, concentration etc. with the Makoto Arena! Makoto is a fitness game that enters the new world of mental training - the final frontier of fitness. Makoto is used by professional and collegiate sports teams, health clubs, chiropractors, rehabilitation centers, hospitals, schools, martial arts studios, education institutions, community centers and more for a variety of "players". These people include: • Competitive athletes • Students w/ ADHD • Youth • People with depression • People with memory concerns • Neurological rehabilitation • Cardiac rehabilitation - AKKA, Olathe is proud to join the Kansas City Chiefs in using Makoto Arena Fitness to enhance our students' skills and coordination.

Makoto is a new, unique and truly remarkable piece of equipment to add to any fitness, recreation or educational facility. The uniqueness of Makoto attracts more members, clients or visitors and the results give people a type of fitness they have never before experienced. Young adults and kids at AKKA, Karate USA, Olathe enjoy Makoto for its virtual reality qualities; its lights, sounds and computerized live action competitive play.
