Karate USA in Westport (Kansas City, Missouri) teaches the fundamentals of the
Martial Arts by combining the time-tested Eastern Philosophy of Martial Arts with
the modern approach of Western teaching philosophy. We offer a well-balanced program
for adults and children that emphasizes pride, self-esteem, fitness and integrity.
AKKA-KarateUSA/Westport
has been offering training in Chinese Kenpo Karate in the same location since
1970. The school was initially part of the Traco International System under Tomas
Connor. After the passing of Master Connor, we fully integrated our training practices
with those of AKKA-KarateUSA, the karate organization founded by Master Bill Packer,
Master Connor's senior student and lineage bearer. Our school color is tie dye!
Our Head Instructor is Richard Gibbins. Mr. Gibbins has instructed at the Westport
dojo on a continual basis since 1976; first as a junior instructor and as Head
Instructor since 1982
